To focus on the central issues of group development, create a favorable atmosphere of understanding, valuing and supporting young League members' innovation and creation in the SIG system, provide favorable conditions and build a broad stage for their innovation and creation, discover and cultivate a number of young innovation talents, the CYL SIG Committee kicked off the 2nd Youth Innovation & Creation Competition in March 2020. With focus on the three major tasks assigned by the central government to Shanghai, important work such as advancing the building of "five centers" and promoting Shanghai's "four brands", as well as SIG's annual central work, based on SIG's "fourteenth five-year" plan, SIG will guide young League members in making contributions through innovation and creation, to better serve the reform and development of SIG.
After more than a month of mobilization and proposal preparation, five League organizations directly under the CYL SIG Committee submitted 11 research topics. On April 28, the CYL SIG Committee held a proposal exchange meeting.
At the meeting, the research teams exchanged and shared contents such as research background, survey modes, and innovation and creation points based on respective research topics. The meeting worked out a schedule and evaluation process for the competition. The research teams were required to conduct extensive and in-depth surveys with focus on the theme of the competition, enrich research modes, get first-hand data, seek truth from facts, apply research findings and promote the high-quality development of SIG through high-quality research findings.
