On December 8th, Shanghai Commercial Paper Exchange Corporation Ltd., one of SIG`s invested enterprises, held its opening ceremony in Shanghai. Mr. Pan Gongsheng, member of CPC People`s Bank of China Committee and Mr. Zhou Bo, member of CPC Shanghai Municipal Standing Committee and Vice Mayor of Shanghai, jointly inaugurated for Shanghai Commercial Paper Exchange. Mr. Fufan, Vice President of SIG, attended the ceremony.
Shanghai Commercial Paper Exchange is an significant and fundamental part of China`s financial market. It will gradually become a registration and custody center, trading center, innovation center, risk prevention and control commercial paper market by putting in place a unified safe and efficient national E-trading platform.
SIG`s involvement in the funding of Shanghai Commercial Paper Exchange marks the first time that People`s Bank of China choose to use local-level state-owned capital for the development of national-level factor market.Investment by SIG also represents and substantiates the support by CPC Shanghai Committee and Municipal Government to Shanghai Commercial Paper Exchange, and it will also facilitate its cooperation and coordination with local financial institutions and industrial groups.
