On December 28th 2012, “2012 Shanghai Financiers Awarding Ceremony” was held at Pudong Shangri-La Hotel, Shanghai Municipal Committee, vice mayor Tu Guangshao, deputy editor-in-chief of Xinhua News Agency Shen Haixiong, CEIBS president Zhu Xiaoming attended the ceremony. President of SIG, Mr. Shao Yaliang was elected as 2012 “Shanghai 10 Financiers”.
The event was jointly held by Xinhua News Agency Shanghai branch, China Finance Corporation Shanghai Headquarter, CBN and Shanghai Financial Association, with the support from Shanghai Fianncial Service Office, People’s Bank of China Shanghai Head quarter, CBRC of Shanghai Office, CSRC of ShanghaiOffice, CIRC of ShanghaiOffice, aimed at the recognition of outstanding financial professionals who have made distinguished contributions to Shanghai’s construction of international financial center of the year.
April 2012, when the event has been officially launched, 30 Chinese and foreign financial elite from Exchanges, Banking, Securities and Insurance sectors stood out above the rest and were ultimately awarded by 2012 “Shanghai 10 Financier”, “Shanghai 10 Financial Leaders”, “Shanghai 10 Financial Innovation People” respectively and became the yearly financial figures through a number of selection process like on-line voting and expert panels.
