On January 26, 2022, the Global FOF Association released the 2021 list of "the World's Best Investment Institutions". Shanghai Sci-tech Capital (SSC) won awards including "TOP50 Best Performing FOFs in the world" and "TOP30 Most Influential FOF Investors in the world". SSC is the only FOF manager from Shanghai on the two sub-lists.
The 2021 list was rolled out upon recommendation, evaluation and scoring by investment experts (focused on FOFs) invited by the Global FOF Association from Europe, America, the Middle East and other regions.
SSC is a market-oriented FoF initiated by SIG according to the deployment requirements of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. Its key investors include SIG, Guosheng Group, SIPG, Guotai Junan Securities, Shanghai Trust, Zhangjiang Hi-Tech, China Pacific Insurance Group, Jiading State-Owned Assets Group, etc. With the mission of serving the building of Shanghai Sci-tech Innovation Center, it has a target scale of 30 billion yuan and now has over 12 billion yuan under management.
SSC has invested in more than 50 sub-funds to date, with a total contract amount of over 100 billion yuan, covering over 1,000 enterprises. Among the invested enterprises, 45 are listed ones, including 26 listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board. Over 100 SSC-invested enterprises plan to apply for listing in the coming year.
